As a child, Terissa was always told that she had a special way with people. Putting on a show was a norm and was documented many times on home video. However, it was not until her senior year in high school that she decided to audition for an acting role. Terissa made her stage debut in April of 2005, playing various chorus roles in Seussical the Musical From that point on, Terissa decided that acting was what she wanted to concentrate on as she continued her education. At Texas Lutheran University, she was given the opportunity to play her first leading role as Matilda in Paul Zimmer's The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds. She also began working with student directors in several films and music videos. Though she had much support at Texas Lutheran, Terissa found herself wanting to be in a larger community with more opportunities on and off campus. After transferring to Texas State University in the fall of 2006, she began searching for ways to get into her next role! She worked on several scenes in class work and directing projects. Finally in the spring of 2008, Terissa auditioned and was accepted into the BFA Acting program. Having graduated, Terissa is proud to say that she has surprised herself and has taken risks she thought she never could. Her resume now includes several film and commercial credits. She is currently working in Austin, TX. She works closely with local independent film company, Twitchy Dolphin Flix. Terissa began working as a producer with Twitchy and has now completed 4 films as an actor AND producer. She has also directed 3 short films, all of which have been featured and recognized at film festivals across the country. She is currently working on several projects, both in pre- and post- production.
